A dryer vent is a duct or tube that connects a clothes dryer to the outside, allowing hot air, moisture, and lint to be expelled from the dryer during the drying process.
Over time though, this process builds up lint in the vent and becomes liable for catching fire.
And This Number will continue to grow unless awareness of this danger spreads.
And we Specialize in cleaning dryer vents yes, but we also know want more people to know about dyer vent fires and be prepared for it.
And again, we recommend professionals for the Job, but we have prepared a list for this below.
Move the dryer and any debris / equipment out of the way of the dyer vent opening.
Grab your "Dyer Vent Kit" (Whatever the name of the equipment you have is).
It Should at the minimum include:
Screw on rods.
Screw on Brush.
Grab a Handheld Battery Powered Drill
and connect it to the Rod on the other end of the Brush End.
Then proceed to run it through the Dyer Vent on both the inside and the outside ends.
After this process your Dryer Vent will last longer without an increased risk of Catching Fire.
But it is still recommended to reach out to a professional, because if it is not thoroughly cleaned your efforts could result in a Fire still Occurring later in the future.
